The David and Carolee Schreiner Baby Shower will long be remembered as the most wintry social event ever! While the weather interfered in many plans to participate, around forty-five guests struggled in to celebrate a new life. The new baby girl Schreiner will most likely be born by the time this newsletter has been distributed with due date of January 5, 2009!
The theme of the shower was “Cat and the Hat” with Carolee’s Maid of Honor from her wedding dressed up as the main character and the rest of her bridesmaids wearing the large red and white striped hats! One special gift was a personalized book made up as if the baby was talking to her Mommy and Daddy with real pictures of their home and special people in their life.
Dave (Grandpa) Giles was the videographer, Lynette, Christine, Yvonne and Cheryl and Tom decorated, and food was contributed by Judy Norwood, Debbie Wantz, Linda (Grandma) Giles, Sue Schubert, Cheryl Smith, Claudia Montgomery, Penny Wilson and Sylvia. We will be waiting for that proud Grandma and Grandpa Giles picture in next month’s issue!
