Elsie, Noni, and Diane from the Westminster church attended the prayer conference November 7th & 8th at the Columbia Union Conference.  The husband & wife team of the Janis & Jerry Page, shared what was on their hearts. This conference would be like no other.  There were many stories to illustrate the power of prayer. God can give so much more if one only believes and asks.

The day started with song and Bible verses that praised God, just how prayers should. Next the session broke up in groups of 2 or 3. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20 Prayers were raised for the election of the president (that God's will be done), for our schools and churches, the need for a revival in our hearts and in our churches.

A suggestion sheet was passed out on how to spend an hour in prayer.  The 12 steps were Praise, Waiting, Confession, Scripture Praying, Watching, Intercession, Petition, Thanksgiving, Singing, Meditation, Listening, and ending again with Praise.  Why not start with just 5 minutes at the beginning of your day. Pray about the small things, pray when you are alone in the car and driving, pray without ceasing.  God says, “I need you and am just waiting for you to ask me and the Holy Spirit into your heart.”
