Thank You Investment Supper and Vespers will be held February 19, with supper starting at 4:45 PM followed by vespers at 6 PM. Vespers will be by Paul Seipp. He is retired and has played music most of his life. He and his wife have been married for 60 + years and she, on occasion sings with him. He was in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He currently plays in many Assisted Living Homes, and does other Private Concerts in the community. Country Gospel Music is a favorite of his as well most of us.
“Understanding the Religion of Your Neighbors” is the title of a free seminar series hosted by the Triadelphia church. Dr. Ganoune Diop, director of Inter-Faith Study Centers for the Seventh-day Adventist world church, gives insightful presentations on Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, and Christianity. The series continues on Sabbath afternoons, February 5, 19, and 26 at 4:00 pm at The Gathering Place, located at 6120 Daylong Lane in Clarksville, Maryland. Pastor Robb Long reports that 80 people attended the most recent seminar—about one-third of whom were visitors from the community. The question and answer session following each seminar is lively. Students, plan now to participate in Generation Rain “The Release” Spiritual Retreat for high school youth sponsored by the Youth Ministries department. The event takes place February 25-27 at Mount Aetna Camp and Retreat Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. Mike Fortune, pastor of the Toledo First church, is the featured speaker. Lead people to Jesus. Pastor Richard Figueredo, Publishing director, is hosting a training event for members who want to give Bible studies in their local communities and earn money as literature evangelists. The first training workshop takes place at Mount Aetna Camp and Retreat Center, March 10-13. The $85 registration fee covers lodging and meals.
