Westminster members attended and watched the celebration of 25 years of Regeneration Ministries, which was telecast from Sligo SDA Church in Takoma Park, Maryland, Sabbath, January 15, 2011. It was a high day as Pastor Gates; the founder of Regeneration spoke about Reformation and Revival. He talked about how the first church meetings were held in homes, like Phoebe’s house and if we wanted some R and R, we needed to get back to basics; like love one another, forgive, confess our faults, etc. He also reminded us we had plenty of faults to confess to each other; then we would be healed-R & R 2 Chronicles 7:14. The afternoon program included 3 AM, our own homegrown God driven band. They played original songs that echoed the call for confession, forgiveness, and let us know when we surrender to God's will we are healed. “What’s in Your Hand” Puppet Ministry, a panel of Dr. Dewitt Williams former NAD Health Ministry Director, Ray Nelson, Director of Regeneration Ministries, Pat Munch, Ray Scott, Columbia & Atlantic Regional Coordinator, and Hal Gates who walked us through the beginning, middle, and present Regeneration ministry program, now called ARM (Adventist Regeneration Ministry) http://www.adventistrecovery.org/.
