Sabbath, November 15, the Adventurers marched in to the tune of their club song "We are Adventures!"   Ms. Debbie asked the congregation to stand as they all said the Pledges: Pledge of Allegiance to American flag, Christian flag, Bible, the Adventurer Pledge and Laws.  Ms. Elizabeth introduced her staff, spoke about the Adventure law, and introduced the children.  Each child explained what one part of the law (Jesus can help me to be: obedient, pure, true, kind, respectful, attentive, helpful, cheerful, thoughtful, reverent) meant.

The children in our club this year are: Cameron Wilson, Breanna Spielman, Astrid Tejel, Edera Tejel, Arianna Cottom, Matthew Pesek, Matthew Wong, Ian Durrant.  Elizabeth then had the parents come stand behind their Adventurer and Carl Rodriguez said a prayer for all of them.

The regular worship service continued and the Adventurers sang "I am a Promise" for the Special Music.  From Chesapeake Conference Youth Department, the speaker was Carl Rodriguez whose sermon was entitled “Everyday Is The Right Time.” He used several humorous stories about himself as an example and three texts Deut. 6:4-9; Prov. 22:6 and 1 Cor. 15:33, to show everyone is responsible for the child: at home, school and church. After the benediction, the Adventurers marched out and stood at the door to greet everyone coming out. Keep marching to new adventures!
