The Outreach Committee led by Darcel Harris held a Health Fair at the church Sunday, May 23, 1-4 PM. Sun-Ah led out in the organization of the Fair this year and of course planned on sunshine and tables in the parking lot, but cheerfully resorted to Plan B and set up a large tent in front of the church’s back door!
There was a food coop table with Jan taking orders, a Life Expectancy Quiz, which included your B/P and BMI calculations, Exercise Trainers from a nearby Sports Center, GROW Mission food tasting tables with tempting delights offered by Sherri Fales and Darcel, and one colorful table of Dental Hygiene items arranged by Sue Seibel. Crest Lane Students stopped by to college scavenger items for their contest as well as community and church friends. Many pieces of literature was distributed. This event was truly and example of “Many hands make light work.”
