The Adventurer club arrived at the Washington Nat'l Zoo October 19, about 10:30a. Each had his own idea about what to see. They started off with the zebras and cheetahs, then the elephants.
This is not a flat land zoo! There was a variety of birds in the aviary; some flying freely in a huge room with plastic strips in the doorway so people could walk thru but the birds couldn't escape.
We sat on the benches along the pathway and ate lunch and then went to a small animal house to see lemurs, meerkats, and some small monkeys. Pictures were taken and requirements for honors were completed.
