This Christmas the primary class brought in money to buy Honey Bees. The Heifer Foundation will send a hive of honey bees to a family struggling to feed and care for their family. Families earn an income with the sale of honey, beeswax, and the pollination will double some fruit and vegetable yields. The plan was to send $30 for one hive, but thanks to our wonderful children, we have enough for three hives! Thank you to everyone that helped. God is really working on these young peoples’ hearts. Maybe this 2010 Christmas we can raise $120 and give the gift of a sheep or goat! How cool would that bee?
