Women’s Ministries Sabbath, October 25th, started with a salute to our military service men. Each stood up and told which of the armed forces he was in and his rank.
This Sabbath celebrated the women in our church. Samantha Young, assistant to the president of communications at the Chesapeake conference and Women's Ministries leader spoke to us from Ruth 1:8-17, the story of Ruth and her "Divine Destiny."
Westminster was blessed by Charmaine Ridgley from the First Baltimore Church with three vocal numbers.
Before the closing prayer the women were invited to come to the front and take a bow with three flower bulbs wrapped in white netting; two daffodils and one tulip bulb to be planted now and when they come up next spring, to remember the special Sabbath day they got them.
Potluck was extra special with the Fall leaf plates and napkins set at each place along with a mini cupcake holder of peanuts & candy corn. Fall leaves were scattered around in the center with small pumpkin arrangements, acrylic acorns, a fall-like pot holder, and a ceramic fall decoration. Each lady at the table was allowed to take one item home. There was standing room only.
