This Parable series held at Westminster SDA from August 29 through September 5, has been a real blessing, refreshing and enlightening.  Elder Ralph Ringer is an Evangelist from Southern Union Conference.  Each night, after the ladies sang and Pastor Wall had opening prayer, Elder Ringer opened the meeting to one of the parables we know so well—or do we? — The Sower, The Wheat and Tares, Rich Man & Lazarus, The Lord’s Wedding, to name a few, he broke down the story verse by verse and explained every little thing about that verse until we understood the story had more than one meaning to it.

Another blessing the first weekend of the series was the “Message of Mercy Singers” – Joey Tolbert, Kim Neal*, Jessica Perry, Darlene Hubbard, & Erica Anderson. They sang on Saturday and Sunday with a concert before those two evening meetings. What a treat!

Mark Sorenson, from Hanover SDA, and Jan Wall sang on Wednesday and on Saturday nights. Circle of Friends – Jan Wall, Tanya Barbour, Michele Sipes, Leesa Wong, & Betty McGuire (pianist) sang a few songs for us on Thursday and Friday evening.

Each night there has been about 40-50 people attending these meetings and receiving a blessing.  The meetings ended Sabbath evening, September 5, with two baptisms, Irma Hardy and Debby Redeker.
*For those of us who have been here since the early ‘70’s we had a surprise. Kim Neal is the wife of Dr. Norman Neal who is the son of a former pastor – Pastor Phil Neal.
