The WSDA church board is asking members to have a conversation with their feet. The subject is the appalling condition of the carpet in the church, with unsightly stains, and tears creating a potential ‘trip’ situation.
Treasurer Harold Greene has opened a “Church Carpet” account in both the internet giving option and church accounting records. “Shall we get new carpeting? We are asking you to vote with your checkbooks,” Harold told members on August 1.
In a letter to members, the board asked members to consider giving $2.50 per family foot per Sabbath for 20 Sabbaths, to give our Sanctuary a Christmas gift of new carpeting.
