The first full-school reunion for Edgecombe, Greater Baltimore Academy and GBJA was held Sabbath, July 18, at the Baltimore First SDA Church. Many members of WSDA enjoyed the fellowshipping and reuniting with old friends that day.  There were almost 200 in attendance according to Marian E. (Schubert) Phillips, Coordinator for the School Reunion.

Mrs. Marvel Boggess was Food Committee Chairperson and did a great job of organizing the food which kept everyone’s strength up to talk, take pictures, rekindle old friendships and sing enthusiastically their Old School song “We Sing to You Dear EJA.”

Our own Carole (Bowen) Smith was the Featured Presenter and Pastor Boggess preached the sermon that day.  The weather “… was absolutely perfect… blue sky, good temperatures, no humidity and a gentle breeze.  Isn’t God wonderful?” wrote Marian in her letter to the attendees.  Since this was the very first one, they will now build on the foundation and plan for the next one.  In 2010 they will be honoring the Class of 1960 for their 50th Class reunion.  All students, faculty/staff are invited.
