Following a sundown devotional by the Pastor, the WSDA Fall Business Meeting commenced on October 31 at 6:25pm in the fellowship hall. Chairs faced the entry-way, causing merriment at the expense of latecomers! Tables held enticing snacks awaiting the social following the completion of business. Business items included recent membership activity, reports of financial status by the church treasurer, evangelism planning and activity by the church and the re-carpeting of the church. Carpet Subcommittee chairman, Howard Karst presented the samples selected by the committee for sanctuary and hallway/classroom color and quality. Treasurer Harold Greene gave the good news that WSDA members have talked with their feet and voted with their wallets and have determined that the Lord’s House would not go into 2010 with ancient and worn carpeting. The new carpet will be ordered shortly.

Business pushed aside, let the games begin!   Cheryl and Tom Smith had prepared numerous ways to earn tickets involving estimating M & M’s and pumpkin seeds in a jar, miniature marshmallows/straw relay races, catching corn candy, tying up tight knit family groups and passing eggs. Everybody was a winner!  But somebody please ask Zach why 12 pieces of candy came flying at once?
